- How long does it take to complete a monument?
- Depending on the type of stone selected, style, size, design, and shipping lead times, it could take up to 180 days from the time the final design is approved to when the stone is set.
- Due to the many variables at play, we cannot guarantee a completed and set monument by a specific date. If you are wanting a monument set in time for Memorial Day, a birthday, anniversary, or other holiday, we strongly encourage you to start the process at least 6-8 months prior to that date.
- How is payment handled?
- We require full payment to begin an order. We accept cash, credit card, or check.
- It is important to note that no production will begin on an ordered monument until you and/or your family have approved the design.
- For those seeking financing options, we can refer customers to a third-party provider, LPI Loans.
- Do I need to have a burial plot purchased before I purchased a monument?
- We strongly encourage families to purchase their burial plot prior to ordering a monument, but it is not required.
- Some cemeteries have size restrictions and even style guidelines to follow for memorials markers which can impact your design.
- However, due to our long-standing relationships with most cemeteries across Central Iowa, if you do not have a plot purchased initially, but have a good sense of the cemetery where you’d like the monument to be placed, we can often work with you to ensure that the memorial meets that cemetery’s guidelines.
- A plot will need to be purchased prior to completion of the memorial, as we cannot store monuments for any extended period of time.
- Can I insure my monument?
- Cemetery monuments are sometimes covered under the contents portion of a homeowner’s policy. We encourage customers to reach out to their insurance agent directly to learn about possible options.
